The countdown begins
It is amazing what changes will take in your life and in the way things happen once you place what matters in the hands of God. Just few weeks ago Rhonda and I talked about the need to know the date, need to start working on the invitations and a list of people to come. We have prayed that there will be an answer, before a certain date, whether we should go with the tenative date of December 28, or postpone to a later date. On the 3rd of October I received a letter stating that my application for adjustment of status has been processed and accepted and I have an appointment date. This was nearly half an answer, since there was the pending passport renewal. I was not due to have it for another month, should all go well. But it could have taken all the way to January. After figuring out where to call, the Russian embassy said that I can come and pick my passport up. That same evening we had an 'OK' from our legal adviser to go with the date. After the weekend, Rhonda and I went to our Bible study and expressed gratitute for the answers and decided to place more requests in prayer. Friday evening we got a message that my Advanced Parole has been approved! I can't wait to see how things unfold - there are many things, large and small, that are yet to be resolved. Trusting God and knowing that our patience and grateful attitude will prevail gives a certainty that all will go well. It was 13 weeks before the tenative date that it all started. I will be back weekly to record the process.
